¡°Mera Ek Criteria Rehta¡¡¯: Sonu Sood Addresses Ego Clash Claims With Salman Khan During Dabangg
Sonu Sood in a recent interview addressed the reports of his ego clash with Salman Khan and why he initially rejected Dabangg.
Actors Salman Khan and Sonu Sood starred together in Dabangg (2010) which saw Khan as the lead hero and Sonu as the pivotal antagonist. There were several reports since then that there has been an ego clash between the duo involving who garnered more screen space and greater audience reception. Sonu has now reacted to the same.

Sonu who played Cheddi Singh in the film unveiled several layers of his life in a podcast with Smita Prakash.
When she asked him, ¡°You knew that you were working with Salman hence the frame was focused on him. Did ego ever get you?¡± To which Sonu replied, ¡°Mera ek criteria rehta tha ki thik hai aapke mere se¡21 role ho sakta hai. Par mai bhi 19 role toh lekar jaunga hi jaunga (I only had one criteri on that you might have more scenes than me, but I too will give my best and have the rest of the scenes)."
Sood further revealed, ¡°Dabangg ke maine bahut saare scenes likhe. Aur maine character ko badla tha. Pehle voh bahut hi arrogant aur ekdum faad dunga, jaan le lunga, aise type ka character tha. Toh mujhe voh acha nahi laga toh maine isliye Dabangg ko bhi mana kar dia tha (I wrote a lot of scenes of Dabangg. I changed the character a bit. Earlier, he was brash and arrogant which I did not like. So I refused Dabangg then).¡±

Sonu who became ¡®messiah¡¯ of several people during the pandemic was even asked if he has any plans of entering politics anytime soon.
The Fateh actor said, ¡°Politics ki baat karein toh mereko do dafa Rajya Sabha offer ho chuka hai, maine nahi accept kia. Badi se badi padvi offer ho chuki hai. Deputy Chief Minister offer ho chuke hain. Bahut cheezein offer hui hain par mujhe yeh excite nahi karta. I will try to set my own rules.
The actor made his Bollywood debut with Shaheed-E-Azam in 2004 and starred in films like Yuva (2004), Aashiq Banaya Aapne (2005), Jodhaa Akbar (2008), Singh Is Kinng (2008) and more. Last seen in Samrat Prithviraj, Sonu recently hosted MTV Roadies - Season 18. He will be soon seen in Fateh.
