Sonu Sood was last seen in Akshay Kumar starrer Prithviraj which failed miserably at the box office.
Reacting to its disastrous reception, Sood told PTI, ¡°I wish the film could have done well because there was a lot of hard work put in. As an actor, it is important that you give your 100 per cent and it is up to the audience to decide what is right and what is wrong in it. You have to accept your failures and learn from them and next time you can be better, you can deliver better. I, as an actor, do that. This time we failed but next time we will do well.¡±
Sonu addressed the series of Bollywood movies failing at the box office and films from down south taking over.
He told the Bombay Times, ¡°Bollywood has been making quite a number of good films, but one must also not forget the fact that the number of films south makes is huge. It is at least five times more than Bollywood. So, content coming from there is much more than what we are making. Thus, I feel that it makes for a good healthy competition and it keeps you on your toes to make good movies.¡±
When asked if Bollywood needs to pull up their socks, he added, ¡°They need to, I mean everyone needs to¡ as I think, when you have competition¡±. Sonu in his kitty next has Thamilarasan and Fateh.
