Tamannaah Defends 39-Year Age Gap With Jailer Co-star Rajinikanth; Cites Example Of Tom Cruise

Tamannaah Bhatia recently broke the internet with her superhit Tamil track Kaavaalaa. The song features in the film Jailer where the actress shares screen with Thalaiva Rajinikanth. It was during another song launch Tu Aa Dilbara when Bhatia defended the non-ignorable age gap between the lead cast.

Tamannaah shared that she feels empowered while working with big stars.

Tamannaah is 33 years old and will feature opposite Rajinikanth (72 years old). Further, Bhatia will star opposite the 67-year-old Chiranjeevi in Bhola Shankar. Answering the question about the age difference, Tamannaah said, ¡°Why are you even looking at the age difference? You have to look at two characters that are being played on the screen, that¡¯s it.¡±

¡°If I¡¯ve to talk about age, then I will look at Tom Cruise¡¯s stunts even at the age of 60, and I would like to do saucy dance numbers at that age too."

A source close to Zoom quoted, ¡°She has the freedom to make her choices and plan her career accordingly. She has worked with the two biggest stars of Telugu and Tamil movies-Chiranjeevi and Rajinikanth respectively- because working with them gives her more mileage and popularity in comparison to working with young heroes.¡±

¡°Already, her songs with these two superstars have rocked the internet and are counting millions of views."

The Baahubali actress recently confirmed dating Lust Stories co-star Vijay Varma.

Speaking to GQ, Varma shared that after Tamannaah¡¯s interviews, ¡°it¡¯s fairly understood now that we are dating each other.¡± He continues, ¡°I am happy and madly in love with her. I call this my ¡®I¡¯ve ended my villain era and gotten into the romance era¡¯ phase of life.¡±

In an earlier interview with Film Companion, Tamannaah had said, "He (Vijay Varma) is someone with who I bonded very organically. He is someone who really came to me with all his guard down, then it became really easy for me to let all my guard down. It is friendship that is such a crucial part of someone you can laugh with.¡±
