During a recent interview with her father, the actress came down in tears as she recalled their financial struggles. She recalled how her parents had to once break her piggy bank.
Prajakta Koli opens up about family's financial struggles
During her chat on Yuvaa's podcast with her father Manoj Koli, Prajakta shared, "I remember when I was 12 years old, I came back from school or tuition. Mumma, papa made me sit with love, I remember the time because I almost felt like I was an adult, the way they spoke to me. They said, 'Aabu, we are struggling a little bit this month. So we'll have to break your piggy bank'. I was like, 'Ok'. They were like, 'It's ok, we will get you a new one'."
Prajakta then broke down, saying that although the occurrence seemed totally "normal" at the time, she realised its seriousness much later, and it is now a painful memory. Manoj, the actress's father, then talked about how he lost all of his savings while working for a multi-level marketing organisation in 1999¨C2000. "In India at the time, there was a new trend. I invested around ?11 lakh in that business, all of my savings, and it went bankrupt," he said.
Prajakta Koli's projects
Prajakta made her Bollywood debut with Jugjugg Jeeyo in 2022. In Neeyat, she later appeared on screen alongside Vidya Balan. She got a lot love for Mismatched, which has had three successful seasons to date.
