Chhaava will hit theatres on February 14, 2025, making its release a special treat for Valentines. Vicky earlier humorously declared that this year, it's ¡°Chhaava Day¡± rather than Valentine's Day. If we talk about the advance booking then the film is set to open big at the box office as the current gross stands at Rs 9.91 crore with 346092 tickets sold (Rs 12.98 crore with block seats).

Chhaava's plot

Based on the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant, Chhaava is a historical epic that chronicles the life and struggles of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of the iconic Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The film delves into his heroics as he stands up against the mighty Mughal empire, led by Emperor Aurangzeb. The title Chhaava, meaning ¡°Lion Cub¡± in Marathi, represents Sambhaji's fierce and courageous nature.

Chhaava's cast and crew

Alongside Vicky, the movie boasts an impressive ensemble featuring Rashmika Mandanna as Maharani Yesubai, the wife of Sambhaji Maharaj. Akshaye Khanna portrays the infamous Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb, the antagonist whose clash with Sambhaji forms the core conflict of the story. Ashutosh Rana takes on the role of Hambirrao Mohite, a prominent figure in Maratha history.

Diana Penty appears as Zinat-un-Nissa Begum, the daughter of Aurangzeb.
