Shaheed Jaswant Singh Khalra was a human rights activist who sought justice for thousands of Sikhs who went missing after Operation Blue Star in Amritsar.
He collected vital information containing the missing persons' names, age, and addresses. In 1995, Jaswant Singh Khalra was last seen in front of his home, from where he disappeared. A witness had stated that he was arrested by the cops.
However, the latter denied any such incidence. It was later found that Jaswant Singh Khalra was being held at the Tarn Taran police station. The officers involved in the incident were sentenced to be in prison for life.
