Do you the reason behind Dangal's roaring success is Aamir Khan's popularity in China?
Not many of us know that the government of China allows only 34 non-Chinese films to release in the country every year. One of them was Aamir Khan's Dangal which had released in 2016. In less than a week, the film based on the life of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat who trained daughters Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari to become world-class wrestlers, minted 6 million Hong Kong Dollars there.
Dangal garnered more than two-thirds of the total collection from China. And if you doubt how much people have caught the movie¡¯s fancy, here's a video that you ought to watch. Some of the fans in China paid tribute to the superstar by dancing to his track Dhaakad and it's phenomenal.
Meanwhile, Yash has already hinted that KGF: Chapter 3 is being planned already. However, it's still in the nascent stage. "Already we have thought of a lot of scenes, me and Prashanth Neel," Yash told Variety. He added, "There are a lot of things which we couldn¡¯t do in Chapter 2. So we know there are a lot of possibilities, a lot of kick-ass scenes are there. But it¡¯s just an idea. And we¡¯ve just left it there right now."
