Blake Lively vs. Justin Baldoni: Who is Brandon Sklenar supporting? It Ends with Us star breaks his silence
It has become nearly impossible for It Ends with Us stars to avoid Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni's battle, and Brandon Sklenar, who played a leading role in the movie, was recently asked to weigh in on his opinion. While the actor reiterated his views on the topic, his answer this time around was more media-trained.

Brandon Sklenar has a new and more diplomatic stance on the highly publicized feud between his It Ends with Us co-stars, Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively. When questioned about the contentious legal battle during a recent interview, Sklenar tactfully sidestepped the question, refusing to take sides or make any comments that could be misconstrued as libellous.
Brandon Sklenar breaks his silence on the Blake vs. Justin drama
Brandon was recently asked to weigh in on the ongoing legal battle between Blake and Justin. During a CBS Mornings interview, host Gayle King asked the actor to share his two cents on the ongoing tussle between his former co-stars that has blown into a full-fledged legal fight. Sklenar cleverly shifted the focus, saying with a laugh, "I just want people to remember why we made the movie in the first place and what it stands for, and just keep the focus on that."
Brandon Sklenar has consistently emphasized the personal significance of the story in It Ends With Us, a film that tackles the crucial issue of domestic abuse and violence, revealing someone very close to him has experienced a struggle similar to the film's leading character, Lilly Bloom (played by Blake Lively).
"I have someone very, very close to me who's gone through what Lily's going through for a long time," he explained, highlighting the importance of this story for victims and those affected by domestic abuse.

The actor also shared that he has been actively supporting his loved one, saying, "I've been on the front lines helping her navigate that space," which has given him a deeper understanding of the issue.
He added, "It's unfortunate that things get taken away from what the ethos of that thing is, and it gets convoluted, and I just want to remind people of why it exists in the first place."
Brandon spoke out against 'vilifying the women'
Back in August 2024, before the escalation of the feud between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni into a legal battle in December, Brandon had already spoken out against the rumours surrounding their film. At the time, he condemned those who were "vilifying the women" involved in the adaptation of Colleen Hoover's novel, seemingly expressing his support for the female cast members.
¡°Colleen and the women of this cast stand for hope, perseverance, and women choosing a better life for themselves. Vilifying the women who put so much of their heart and soul into making this film because they believe so strongly in its message seems counterproductive and detracts from what this film is about. It is, in fact, the opposite of the point,¡± an excerpt of his letter read.

For those who may not be aware, after months of speculations about a potential feud with her co-star/director, Blake Lively first accused Justin Baldoni of sexual harassment in December 2024. Baldoni then filed a defamation countersuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, their publicist, and the New York Times for $400 million. They will go for trial in March 2026.
