Why Harrison Ford was forced to step down as Oscars presenter
Variety reported Harrison Ford's absence from the Oscars. According to an Entertainment Weekly article, the Indiana Jones star became unwell on February 28 and hence backed out from presenting. He recently appeared last weekend at the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards, where he and Jessica Williams performed a sketch to kick off the event.

A painful rash that generally appears as a stripe of blisters on one side of the chest is the result of shingles, a viral infection that is not life-threatening, according to the Mayo Clinic.
