SAG Awards 2025: Timoth¨¦e Chalamet, Selena Gomez win big; check out complete list of winners

The 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards delivered a pair of surprise victories, with Timoth¨¦e Chalamet and Selena Gomez emerging as unexpected winners. The ceremony, which aired live on Netflix from the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 23, saw Chalamet take home the award for outstanding performance by a male actor in a leading role for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown, edging out Adrien Brody's highly touted performance in The Brutalist. Selena, meanwhile, took home the Best Ensemble in a Comedy Series trophy for Only Murders in the Building.

A visibly moved Timoth¨¦e Chalamet accepted his award, saying, "I was not expecting this at all." He reflected on the significant time and effort he dedicated to portraying Bob Dylan, stating, "This was five-and-a-half years of my life. I poured everything into playing him. It was an honor to play him, a true American hero."

The 29-year-old actor expressed his ambition to achieve greatness, citing Marlon Brando, Daniel Day-Lewis, and Viola Davis as inspirations. He viewed this award as "fuel" to continue striving for excellence in his craft.

Selena Gomez's precious reaction to SAG Award win

Selena Gomez was shocked to win at the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards, accepting the award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series for Only Murders in the Building.

On stage, she joked, "Wait, we never win. This is so weird¡­" and thanked her co-stars, Martin Short and Steve Martin, saying they "helped raise" her. Gomez dedicated the award to the entire team, saying, "Everyone deserves this."
