What is A Complete Unknown about?
The plot, which centers on a 19-year-old Minnesotan who comes to the West Village with his guitar and revolutionary skill, is set against the backdrop of the thriving music scene and turbulent cultural upheaval of the early 1960s. This young man is destined to alter the direction of American music.
He becomes dissatisfied with the folk movement as he develops his closest ties during his ascent to popularity and, unwilling to be labeled, takes a contentious decision that has global cultural ramifications.
Meet the cast
In supporting parts are Edward Norton, Elle Fanning, Monica Barbaro, Boyd Holbrook, Dan Fogler, Eriko Hatsune, Big Bill Morganfield, Will Harrison, and Scoot McNairy. Timoth¨¦e Chalamet, who also serves as producer, plays Dylan. The chorus of Dylan's 1965 single "Like a Rolling Stone" is the source of the movie's title.
The movie had premiered at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on December 10, 2024.
