Lock Upp, hosted by Kangana Ranaut, has been making headlines since its inception. The show features 16 celebrities locked up behind bars and airs 24x7. Ever since it started streaming, some explosive revelations have been made on the show by the contestants.
Mandana Karimi was in the news recently after narrating her ordeal of being involved with a well-known director and their plans of having a baby together. However, Mandana revealed that when she did get pregnant, the director backed off and she got an abortion.
She had said, "We planned pregnancy but when it happened, he completely backed off and his reason was that he did not think he was emotionally ready to become a father again. He already has a child. Suddenly he was like 'I did not believe you could get pregnant so easily at the age of 33. We then went to my best friend's house because he said we should discuss with them as they are like my parents."
Kangana Ranaut was seen getting teary-eyed after hearing Mandana's story and consoled her about the same.
A fan took to Twitter to slam the director and praise Kangana for handling the situation. The tweet read, "Don't know who this director is. But what he did with Mandana Karimi sounds so horribly sick. The way he used her in his lowest low time was pathetic and I am amazed with the way Kangana Ranaut managed this situation and consoled her. She is an awesome host.¡±
Sharing the tweet on her Instagram story, Kangana Ranaut wrote that the show 'is a celebration of both beauty and brutality of life'. She further hoped that people don't judge Mandana for her choices as 'life is not easy for a woman'.
Lock Upp began streaming in February this year and marks Alt Balaji's collaboration with MX Player.
