Laila box office collection day 4: Vishwak Sen¡¯s Laila, which hit the screens on February 14, failed to make a strong impact at the box office. It netted merely Rs 1.4 crore on the first day and received negative reviews. This prevented it from witnessing growth over the first weekend. The film virtually crashed on its first Monday, February 17, and failed to hold its own against Thandel.

Laila tanks on its first Monday

Vishwak Sen is in the limelight because of his latest film Laila, which arrived in theatres on Valentine¡¯s Day. It failed to impress the audience and ended its first weekend on a low note before crashing on the first Monday. According to Sacnilk, a trade website, it earned just Rs 40 lakh on the fourth day. This is lower than the Rs 60 lakh it made on Sunday (February 16). It is also less than the Rs 1 crore Thandel earned yesterday, which was its second Monday.

The total collection stands at Rs 3 crore. Laila has received negative reviews with critics panning the screenplay and presentation. This worked against it. The film needs to stay stable today (February 18) to have any chance of surviving at the box office.
