Meet Jaswant Singh Gill's Family consisting of his wife Nirdosh Kaur, sons Sarpreet Singh and Randip Gill, daughters Poonam Gill and Hina Gill. Here's what they are upto.
The film is based on the life of Jaswant Singh Gill titled Mission Raniganj, a disaster film based on the Raniganj Coalfields collapse of 1989, is already making waves online with people saying that the end will leave you teary-eyed.

Sadly, the man on whose brave story the film is made couldn't watch the film. Gill passed away in 2019 due to cardiac arrest. He was 80 years old when the incident took place. The film reportedly took six years to be made, and Akshay who played him on the big screen got the chance to talk to him, he recently revealed.

When the film's song Jalsa 2 was released, Jaswant Singh Gill¡¯s daughter Poonam Gill had praised the song and also revealed that her parents loved dancingg. "What a bomb song. Papa and mummy were also great dancers. Papa was the captain of the Bhangra team in his college," she commented.

Furthermore, she revealed, "Akshay has captured the same energy and sweetness in his chemistry with Parineeti as I have seen between my mummy and papa. He (Jaswant Gill) loved dancing, and so did my mum. It's the Punjabi DNA. A man with many talents."

When the film was announced Dr Sarvpreet Singh Gill had said his father had entered into an agreement with the makers and had himself given all rights to director Dharmendra "Tinu" Suresh Desai who had visited the family. Sarpreet Singh is a doctor who works at PGP Cardiology Johns Hopkins USA, as per his Facebook profile.

Randip Gill who lives in Vancouver, British Columbia revealed to Firstpost recently that Tinu was the first person who ever approached the family for a biopic. He said that at first they thought it was a joke. He is happy with the film and says the director has done complete justice.

Hina Gill is also emotional about the movie and said that no one could have played a better version of her father on screen than Akshay Kumar.
