As the match picked up pace, Dewald Brevis thrilled the home crowd with a flurry of sixes. From lofting a wide slower ball over cover to sending one straight down the ground, Brevis delivered power-packed strokes. He added another maximum by pulling a short ball over midwicket and later smashed a full and wide delivery cleanly over long off. Though he eventually fell to a sharp catch by Mendis, his innings had already left the team with good runs.

Ajith Kumar¡¯s appearance at the Chepauk came at a time when his latest film Good Bad Ugly is picking up pace once again at the box office. After a slight drop in collections last week, the action-comedy regained strength over the weekend. As per Sacnilk, the film has crossed ?200 crore globally in its first week, with total earnings reaching ?212.5 crore. Out of this, ?154.05 crore came from India, while the overseas share stands at ?58.45 crore.
Ajith's presence and CSK's batting turned Chepauk into a celebration of both cinema and cricket.
