Singer-turned-politician Sidhu Moose Wala was shot and killed by gansters near his ancestral village Jawaharke in Punjab on Sunday, May 29, 2022. Reportedly, Sidhu Moose Wala, who joined the Congress party before the Punjab elections, was under the radar of gangsters for a long time.
It has been reported that six people have been arrested in connection with the gruesome killing of the singer. Videos of Sidhu Moose Wala lying in a pool of blood after being shot inside his car have gone viral on social media. One of the videos show people pulling him out of his car and preparing to take him to the nearest hospital.

Ranveer Singh, Shehnaaz Gill to Drake, Celebs Mourn Sidhu Moose Wala's Demise
Bollywood celebrities to cricketers took to Twitter to pay their tributes to the late singer. Actor Ranveer Singh expressed shock over the singer's demise. Sharing a picture of Sidhu Moose Wala, he wrote, "Dil da ni mada¡.." and ended his message with a broken heart emoj while cricketer Shikhar Dhawan wrote, "Shocked, devastated, at a loss for words¡ RIP #SidhuMoosewala ?."

US Rapper Drake Offers Condolences
US rapper Drake has also offered his condolences at the demise of the 28-year-old Indian singer. The rapper took to his Instagram account and shared a picture of Sidhu and his mother in stories. He wrote, "RIP Moose" and added a bird emoji. Meanwhile, exclusive CCTV footage obtained by some media portals allegedly shows Sidhu Moose Wala's car being followed minutes before the attack.
Fans of the deceased singer and Drake were upset that the two singers could not collaborate on any project.
¡°I always had the feeling that Sidhu and Drake would collab one day because they both have links to Toronto and it would have been massive for the Punjabi music industry, it's a shame we'll never see it happen now,¡± a fan wrote on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Congress party leaders and some other political parties have expressed shock over the killing and have blamed the AAP government for the whole incident. According to A three-member Special Investigation Team has been set up to probe the murder, the DGP said.
