UI Movie box office collection day 5: UI, starring Upendra, hit the screens on December 20 and opened to a good response at the domestic box office. It stayed strong over the weekend but witnessed a major drop in collections on Monday (December 23). The film then stayed relatively stable on December 24 despite the mixed word-of-mouth.
UI stays stable on first Tuesday
Upendra¡¯s UI made a decent impact at the box office in India on its first Tuesday despite mixed reviews. According to Sacnilk, a trade website, the thriller netted Rs 2.15 crore on its fifth day. This figure is roughly in the same range as the Rs 2.30 crore it raked in on Monday.

Day 2: Rs 5.6 crore
Day 3: Rs 5.95 crore
Day 4: Rs 2.35 crore
Day 5: Rs 2.15 crore
UI's total collection stands at around Rs 23 crore.
The film is doing well in Karnataka. However, its performance is quite underwhelming in other markets. UI is set to face competition from Sudeep¡¯s Max, which hit the screens today (December 25). It remains to be seen wether Uppi¡¯s movie is able to hold its own against Max in the days to come.
