UI Movie box office collection day 8: UI, starring Upendra, hit the screens on December 20 and set the box office on fire. The film then stayed fairly stable on the weekdays and netted Rs 26.3 crore in the first week. The thriller started its second week on a decent note despite witnessing a drop.

UI slows down on second Friday

Upendra¡¯s UI has emerged as a winner at the Indian box office despite receiving mixed reviews. It continued its run on Friday, December 27. According to Sacnilk, a trade website, UI netted Rs 87 lakh on its eighth day. This is a decent figure given the fact that it faced competition from Sudeep¡¯s Max.

Day 2: Rs 5.6 crore

Day 3: Rs 5.95 crore

Day 4: Rs 2.35 crore

UI¡¯s total box office collection stands at Rs 27.17 crore.

UI is expected to witness good growth today (December 28) as it is a weekend. It is also likely to pack a punch on December 29.

UI is a psychological thriller that centres on the clash between a king and a uniquely-talented man who manipulates the public through nefarious means and becomes a dictator. The flick is directed by Upendra, who also plays a triple role in it.. Murali Sharma, Reshma Nanaiah, and Sadhu Kokila essay key roles in the film. UI has reportedly been shot on a budget of around Rs 100 crore. This is Upendra¡¯s first release after the gangster drama Kabzaa (2023), which proved to be a commercial failure. The ¡®Real Star¡¯ will soon be seen in Coolie, which features Rajinikanth in the lead.
