Bitta Karate had admitted to killing over 40 Kashmiri Pandits in the 1990s. Satish Kumar Tickoo was known to be Bitta Karate's friend, before becoming his first victim. In 1990, Bitta had been put behind bars for his terrorist acts. However, in 2016, he got out on indefinite bail. Currently, Bitta is the chairman of the JKLF.
Coming to The Kashmir Files, the film is a hard-hitting watch based on the genocide of Kashmiri Pandits carried out in the 1990s. The film was banned in a few countries including the UAE. Recently, the ban on the film in UAE was lifted and the film is all set to release in the country on April 7, 2022.

Rated 15+ passed without any cuts. Releasing on 7th April (Thursday). Now, Singapore. (Thanks Sanu for this portrait)."
