Dua Lipa in India: The Grammy-award-winning singer was seen leaving the Mumbai airport earlier today (November 28). The global sensation was greeted with loud cheers of ¡®Dua Dua¡¯ by paps with one of them humorously adding ¡°Dua, Duaon me yaad rakhna (Remember us in prayers)¡± - a line from Channa Mereya song. Dressed in a loose yellow shirt and black pyjamas, Lipa avoided posing for cameras.
Why is Dua Lipa in India?
Dua is all set to headline the second edition of the Zomato Feeding India Concert (ZFIC) 2024. The musical event is scheduled for November 30 at MMRDA, BKC in Mumbai. The Zomato Feeding India Concert is a project led by the community aimed at advancing efforts to reach the Sustainable Development Goal of Zero Hunger by 2030. The concert unites artists, changemakers, philanthropists, celebs, and citizens to work together to make India free from hunger and malnutrition.
Internet reacts to Dua Lipa arriving in India
One light-hearted user said, ¡°Tuhi meri shab hai, Dua hai, tuhi din mera. I don't know why I have a feeling that we could see Abhijeet or SRK or DJ Ruchir doing a mashup of Woh Ladki Jo Sabe Alag Hai and Levitating on stage with her.¡± Someone also joked, ¡°Ab Ambani k ghar me kaunsi function hai???¡± Dua was joined by her new boyfriend and actor Callum Turner who also caught the internet¡¯s eyes.
Dua has been to India several times before but this is only her second concert in the country. Back in 2019, she performed at the OnePlus Music Festival in Navi Mumbai. Most recently, Lipa was on a private trip to Rajasthan in the last days of 2023 and has often spoken highly of this country.
