An Agra bride just threw her 'varmala' away after she was forced to dance to an item song along with the groom on their wedding night. When the groom grabbed the bride to hit the dance floor, the bride's uncle intervened but was slapped by the groom which angered the bride and she called the wedding off.

The groom's family had not informed the bride and her family about his medical ailment of epilepsy. While the wedding ceremony was in procession, the husband-to-be had a fit and suffered from an epileptic attack which resulted in the bride's next step of marrying one of the wedding guests. Wedding called off due to chicken biryani

Food is but an integral part of wedding processions for that's something guests really comment on. The incident happened in Bangalore when the groom and the bride's families did not agree to the same kind of biryani that was supposed to get served during the ceremony. While the bride's family preferred chicken, the groom's wouldn't have anything but mutton biryani. The Hindu reported that when the girl's family prepared chicken biryani and sent it to the groom's side, the groom's family was upset. Observing the behaviour of the groom's family, the girl cancelled the wedding.

Speaking to Times of India, Ajay, a relative of the girl said that they had just protested against the undue demand of the bridegroom and his family members, but they started misbehaving with them. He added: "When girl's father and brother went to sort it out, they were threatened. We will never get our sister married with a person who creates a hue and cry merely over lighting arrangements. They were uncultured and ill-mannered."
