Meet Samantha Abreu, who is 25 years old and is a nurse from Melbourne. She struggled with her weight since a young age, and the main reason for it was binge eating food such as cereal, toast, and fast food even after dinner, per Mirror.

What did she do?
It was Covid-19, and Samantha was worried that she might be the next to visit the hospital, like the elderly patients who would not walk after a fall at the hospital she was working. At first, she started going for daily walks for her mental health and later realised it was a blessing for her body.
After some time, she started implementing portion control in her diet and decreasing the size of the meals, which helped her lose almost 45kg in one year. She now views food as fuel.

Breakfast: Bowl of cereal/toast
Lunch: Sandwich/dinner leftovers
Dinner: Roast
Snacks: Cereal, toast, fast food
After weight loss (68 kg)
Breakfast: Oats with fruit
Lunch: Greek chicken pasta
Dinner: Chicken wrap pizza
She now incorporates gym with 5 km runs in her routine and walks 10,000 steps daily. With her regimen, Samantha revealed that she feels "comfortable and safe" in her body. "It¡¯s lovely looking stronger," she said. "I hope other people can see themselves in me and realise they can slowly start implementing change, that¡¯s all I want," she added, as per the New York Post.
