Ambani wedding: Radhika Merchant sets trends as she changes into a second lehenga for 'vidaai'

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant and finally married! The two tied the knot in an extravagant ceremony at the Jio World Convention Centre last night after two grand pre-wedding celebrations and back-to-back wedding festivities leading up to D-day. For her wedding, Radhika arrived in a stunning lehenga inspired by the Gujarati 'Panetar' tradition for her 'lagna vidhi' and later went on to change into another look for her 'vidaai'. Radhika channels her maximalist dreams in all the outfits of her wedding as she dons an equally stunning lehenga for her 'vidaai'.

Radhika Merchant's look for her 'vidaai

For her 'vidaai', Radhika wore a regal red and yellow lehenga designed by Manish Malhotra. Keeping her family close with her family's versatile jewels, Radhika paired them with her stunning lehenga. Keeping her makeup minimal, as is the norm with her, she went with a neat bun adorned with fresh flowers.

Sharing the bride's first pictures, celebrity fashion stylist Rhea Kapoor captioned the post, "This exquisite blouse features real gold karchobi work, inspired by the traditional abho and the rich textile heritage of Kutch, Gujarat, echoing the artistry of the late 19th century. Paired with a multi-panelled Banarasi brocade lehenga in sunset hues, this ensemble is a tribute to India¡¯s timeless elegance. A veil with a lattice design on a beautiful red complements the attire. The dupatta is a Banarasi woven masterpiece."

Radhika Merchant's look for the 'lagna vidhi'

For her 'lagna vidhi' the bride made a dreamy entrance in the ceremony looking every bit the quintessential Gujarat bride in red and white. In another, Rhea Kapoor-styled look, Radhika opted for an intricate Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla lehenga and paired it with her family jewels that her nani, mom and sister wore to their weddings.

Rhea released the bride's first set of pictures and mentioned the outfit's details in the caption saying. "The ivory Zardozi cut-work ensemble consists of a trailing ghagra layered with a second detachable trail, a 5 meter head veil and a tissue shoulder dupatta. The ghagra glitters with three borders of red, Its workmanship is the finest amalgamation of Naqshi, Saadi and Zardozi symmetrically hand-embroidered in intricate floral booties that are lavishly decorated with stones, sequins, tamba tikkis and a touch of red Resham. The head veil has impossibly delicate jaali and cut-work while the detachable trail is a Zardozi marvel of 80 inches. The outfit is complete with a fully embroidered red shoulder dupatta that uplifts the silhouette with its maximal drama."

In a viral video from her wedding, Radhika can be seen dancing her heart out with Anant Ambani after she was accompanied by Mukesh Ambani as she made her way to the dance floor. In the video, Radhika appeared to be wearing what looked like a much simpler but no less beautiful bright pink lehenga that she paired with bespoke emerald jewellery.
