Nada Hafez's pregnancy reveal at the Paris Olympics
In her post titled '7 MONTHS PREGNANT OLYMPIAN !', she explained how she had a special someone along with her while she went on to compete against such talented players on the international stage, saying, "What appears to you as two players on the podium, they were actually three! It was me, my competitor, & my yet-to-come to our world, little baby!"
Shedding more light on her trying journey, she added, "My baby & I had our fair share of challenges, be it both physical & emotional. The rollercoaster of pregnancy is tough on its own, but having to fight to keep the balance of life & sports was nothing short of strenuous, however worth it."
For the unversed, the 7th month of pregnancy does come with its fair share of challenges. As per WebMD, your baby is close to 14 inches long and weighs about two to four pounds, with their hearing fully developed and they change position frequently and respond to stimuli, including sound, pain, and light. This presents a unique challenge to overcome in such high-energy situations on top of the backache, shortness of breath, fatigue and heartburn that a woman already deals with.
Taking everything in stride, Nada how she was extremely proud of herself and went on to acknowledge the support she received saying, "I¡¯m lucky to have shared the trust of my husband @ibrahimihab11 and that of my family to be able to come this far."
