The Vora family in Gurugram is celebrating a big win this week - or well, two big wins! Anushka and Astha Vora, the talented twins, nailed their CBSE Class 12 Board exams with flying colors, scoring 98% and 97.4% respectively. This isn't their first success; they also aced their Class 10 exams with over 98%. Speaking to TOI, the twins' moms shared how the twins managed to do it all.
How did the twins achieve success?
The girls took the Class 12 Boards in five key subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, and English.
Avani Vora, the twins' mother and a chemical engineer herself, revealed, "They have not taken any tuitions for CBSE Grade 12."
Instead, they relied on the support of Suncity School teachers and their parents¡ªDr. Amish Vora, an oncologist, and Avani Vora.
She emphasised that their success can be attributed to their self-study efforts - they dedicated 3-4 hours to studying every day.
According to Avani, the twins would play for an hour each day, whether it was soccer, Zumba at home, or basketball in the condominium.
She says, "The twins meticulously planned their schedules to efficiently manage their studies, homework, and projects, always providing mutual support during challenging times. They also made time for recreational activities, spending an hour each day playing soccer, practicing Zumba at home, or engaging in basketball at their condominium. Leveraging social media, they joined various groups to enhance their understanding of subjects."
Additionally, the twins didn't stay away from social media but used it to their advantage by joining study groups to deepen their understanding of subjects.
Their success, she says, comes from their discipline, consistency, and hard work, with a focus on self-study over tuition.
Looking ahead, both Anushka and Astha have taken the NEET exam and aim to follow in their father's footsteps to become doctors.
