Pariksha Pe Charcha 2024: PM ModiĄ¯s 5 Tips For Exam Success & Dealing With Exam Stress

The seventh edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha is set to be held on 29 January, 2024.

First held in 2018, it is an annual event in which the Prime Minister of India interacts with students, teachers and parents from across the country, and shares valuable tips on how to take board and entrance exams in a relaxed and stress-free manner.

The seventh edition of the event has recorded over 1 crore registrations on the MyGov portal till January 5.

While students and parents alike await for the PM to share his valuable insights this year, they can look back at the guidance given last year to ensure exam success.

Five tips by PM Modi to ensure exam success and deal with exam stress

The sixth edition of the Pariksha Pe Charcha event in 2023 saw PM Modi sharing the following tips:

Time management is key

In the 6th edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha 2023, PM Modi said, "Time management is important during examinations. Note down each and everything you do in a week, analyse your timetable and then keep track of which subject needs more time or can say focus."

Along with managing time, Modi also focused on the need to micro-manage since it is necessary for students to analyse which subjects they are weak in and which subjects are their strengths.

Working hard and working smart

PM Modi stressed on the need to do hard work smartly. This meant first understanding and analysing the work, instead of rushing ahead to work on something.

This can waste all our efforts and hard work so the PM advised students to analyse and then work hard on the specific areas that need practice.

"Some people only do hard work; some do smart work; some do nothing. Students who will do hard work will achieve heights in their life. Do hard work and be consistent in it," he added.

Avoid distractions: Use gadgets only based on need

"Nowadays, children spend 6-7 hours using mobiles; this is ruining our younger generation. We are becoming its slaves. We have a culture of fasting. Can we decide that we will do digital fasting for one day a week? Try it, you will like it. Test yourself," the PM advised.

The PM said, "Don't become a slave of smartphones or gadgets. Trust that you are smarter than your smartphone or gadget. Use gadgets according to the need.Ąą

Don't cheat

"Students are creative when it comes to finding methods to cheat. And they spend more time finding new methods of cheating instead of studying for the upcoming board examinations. These days, you clear the examination but at every step, cheating won't help you," Modi said.

Asking students to avoid cheating and unfair practices, PM Modi had suggested focusing on inner strength instead.

How to deal with criticism

The PM likened criticism to a purification yajna.

Giving examples of a company that puts up its product for sale in the market asking consumers to find flaws in the product, he stressed on the need of criticism for improvement.
