This Man Is Managing Traffic Without Salary For 32 Years & Even Coronavirus Hasn't Stopped Him

If you pass through Seelampur red light in the national capital, you will see a man dressed in torn and shabby attire most of the time. He is often mistaken for a goon, but that doesn¡¯t bog him down. However, few people have approached to help him with new clothes to wear but he sincerely rejects the gifts.

He is seen arranging the traffic with a stick in his hand, as he takes charge of the road the traffic moves in a disciplined manner. He has been working for the past 32 years, he has been wearing the uniform like traffic police. He works from 9 AM to 10 PM on a daily basis.

Coronavirus pandemic halted normal life for people, all of us were living inside our homes due to the fear of the virus but Gangaram, who is 72 years old, stayed true to this job and worked tirelessly on the Seelampur red light despite calls of government for senior citizens to stay put inside their homes.

32 Years of Noble Job Without Any Salary

Gangaram has been handling traffic at Seelampur areas for the last 32 years. Earlier he used to have a TV repair shop in Seelampur, he also used to repair electrical appliances. His son worked with him and helped in his shop. One fine day, a police officer came for wireless repair, he filled his traffic warden¡¯s form back then and since then there is no stopping him.

Gangaram's only son also fell victim to a road accident at Seelampur red light, his wife also passed away after his son¡¯s death and then Gangaram became all alone. After his son's death his intentions were confirmed further, then he decided he had to serve the traffic as long as he lives. He wants to do this, as he doesn't want someone else to meet the same fate as his son did.

His Selfless Service Has Given Him Many Honors

Gangaram receives many medals and honors from the police and other social organizations on 15 August and 26 January every year. He now has many awards and medals at home and also he has received a mobile phone from the police as he did not have one.
