Bangalore-Chennai Expressway: A key 21-km stretch of the Bengaluru Satellite Town Ring Road (STRR) is set to open by March 2025. This STRR connects Hoskote to the Tamil Nadu border. This new link will provide seamless access to the Bangalore-Chennai Expressway (NE-7). And, also improve connectivity and reduce traffic congestion.
Once fully completed, the 288-km STRR will serve as a major bypass for Bengaluru. It will basically divert long-distance vehicles and ease pressure on city roads. The project includes six-lane roads, underpasses, and a rail overbridge, which helps in travel efficiency between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
