Undying spirit and extreme courage even during distressing times, is rare to spot. But, not so rare in Bihar's Jamui town where a young girl is being lauded by thousands of people on the internet.
Heartbreaking yet courageous
The story of 10-year-old differently-abled Seema is heartbreaking and yet courageous. Seema hails from Fatehpur village in Jamui district of Bihar and travels 1km daily on one leg to school. In the viral video, we see her undying passion to study even in such difficulty.

The video shows the girl wearing school uniform, walking one kilometer on one leg to reach her school.
As per reports, Seema lost her one of her legs in a road accident two years back. Nonetheless, this didn't hold her back from studying as she walked 1 km to her school regularly.
Determined to be a teacher, the class IV student of Fatehpur Middle School is not only dedicated to her own studies but also teaches other girls in her village and encourages them to get educated.
Sonu Sood offers help
After going viral on the internet, the video got noticed by actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood. The Bollywood actor, moved by her grit and passion, offered to help.
Sonu Sood took to Twitter and wrote ¡±Now you will go to school not by jumping just on one leg but two, sending you the ticket, now is the time to walk on two legs,¡± he wrote in Hindi.
The move by the actor earned applause from netizens, while praising the actor for his positive move they also showered love on the little girl.

Meanwhile, as per the National Achievement Survey (NAS) 2021 report conducted by Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, only 9 per cent of students in classes 3, 5, 8, and 10 get transport provided by school.
An equal number of students go to school via public transport. Only 8 per cent use two-wheeler owned in family and 3 per cent have own four wheeler to commute to and from school. Nearly 48 per cent of students walk to school every day and 18 per cent take bicycles to travel.
