Cow Vigilante Bittu Bajrangi's Brother Attacked, Set On Fire In Faridabad

In a shocking incident, Mahesh Panchal, the younger brother of controversial cow vigilante Raj Kumar, aka Bittu Bajrangi was attacked and set on fire by a group of men.
The incident happened at Faridabad¡¯s Chacha Chowk in Baba Mandi, where Panchal runs a shop, on Wednesday night.
What happened
A group of at least five men allegedly poured petrol on Panchal and set him on fire leaving him critically injured.
The 32-year-old who suffered 60% burn injuries is currently undergoing treatment in Delhi¡¯s Safdarjung Hospital.
After getting information on the incident, a police team reached the hospital. Panchal told the police that he recognised one of the attackers.
What Bajarangi said
Following the attack in his brother, Bajrangi warned that if the police do not arrest the guilty soon, he will take matters into his own hands.
Bajrangi, who is the head of a cow vigilante group called the Goarakshak Bajrang Force was one of the accused arrested in connection with the Nuh violence in July 2023.
He was booked under Sections 148 (rioting, being armed with deadly weapon), 149 (unlawful assembly ), 332 (voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty), 353 (assault, criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of duty), 186 (voluntarily obstructing any public servant in the discharge of duty), 395 (dacoity), 397 (dacoity, with attempt to cause death or grievous hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC and provisions of the Arms Act, in connection with the communal clashes.
