Less than a month after the shocking death of Anjali Singh, a 20-year-old Delhi woman who was hit by a car and then dragged on the road for nearly 12kms, another such incident has been reported.
Two people have been killed in Northwest Delhi's Keshav Puram after the two-wheeler they were travelling with was hit by a car in the early hours of Friday.

A 41-year-old man, identified as Kailash Bhatnagar, who was riding a pillion, died on the spot, while his friend, Sumit Khari, who was injured, died in a hospital on Saturday morning.
According to the police, while the pillion rider fell on the road due to the impact of the collision, his friend was flung into the air and got stuck on the car's bonnet.
Instead of slowing down, the occupants of the car tried to flee the spot with the injured man still stuck in front of their vehicle.

Dragged the injured for 350 meters
The car then dragged him for nearly 350 meters before the police intercepted it.
"At 2.57am, two PCR vans were patrolling when they noticed that a Tata Zest car hit a Honda Activa scooter. The impact of the collision was such that one person was flung in the air, and landed on the roof of the car, before falling to the ground. The second one got stuck between the bonnet and the windshield of the car. The bonnet had opened because of the impact of the accident. The scooter also got stuck under the car's bumper. Instead of stopping the vehicle, the driver accelerated it towards Inderlok," Deputy commissioner of police (north-west) Usha Rangnani said.

Accused are students, were drunk
There were five people inside the car at the time of the incident.
According to the police, 20-year-old Praveen was behind the wheel when the accident happened and the other four, Diviansh Puri, Om Bhardwaj, Harsh Mudgal and Devansh, are 19 years each.
It was revealed that all accused were students and they were roaming around in the car after attending a wedding ceremony.

Police also said the medical examination of the accused revealed that they were under the influence of alcohol.
Following the incident, all five were arrested by the police and a case has been registered under sections of culpable homicide not amounting to murder (304), causing death due to negligence(304 A), and other sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
