Jahangirpuri: Heartbroken Boy Collects Coins From Pile Of Rubble At Father's Demolished Shop
NDMC claims that the demolition drive in Jahangirpuri was conducted after the High Court order. During a hearing on April 6, the HC had asked the civic body to clean the area. After HC¡¯s direction, a drive was conducted on April 11 and then on April 20.
In heartbreaking visuals from Jahangirpuri, a young boy was seen collecting coins and tetra packs from a pile of rubble at his father's demolished shop. Unfortunately, his father's juice shop was one of the structures that was demolished by bulldozers in the area.
This is really Heart Wrenching.

Asif's father's shop, house razed
The boy has been identified as Asif, who is one of the Jahangirpuri residents, whose shop as well as house were demolished in the anti-encroachment drive by the North MCD. The civic body carried out the demolition drive days after communal violence happened in Jahangirpuri.

What happened in Jahangirpuri?
Jahangirpuri has remained tense since the violence that left eight cops among nine injured during a Hanuman Jayanti procession on Saturday.
Bulldozers rolled into troubled Jahangirpuri on Wednesday morning and tore down several concrete and temporary structures close to a mosque as part of an anti-encroachment drive by the BJP-ruled civic body, days after the northwest Delhi neighbourhood was rocked by communal violence.
The area was teeming with hundreds of policemen, including anti-riot contingents, as the North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) launched the operation against enroachers. In less than two hours, several shops and businesses were pulled down amid scenes of chaos, with many owners insisting their establishments had the sanction of the Delhi Development Authority and the local civic body.
The action came in the backdrop of demolition drives carried out by the BJP governments in Madhya Pradesh¡¯s Khargone and Gujarat¡¯s Anand districts where bulldozers were used to pull down encroached properties belonging to the alleged rioters.
NDMC's demolition drive after HC order
NDMC claims that the demolition drive in Jahangirpuri was conducted after the High Court order. During a hearing on April 6, the HC had asked the civic body to clean the area. After HC¡¯s direction, a drive was conducted on April 11 and then on April 20. "The court was not only very appreciative of the department¡¯s efforts but also asked MCD to remove all the unauthorised contruction on the road whether kaccha or pucca," the civic body said.
Meanwhile, SC has ordered today that status quo will be maintained till further orders in Jahangirpuri case. Matter will be listed after two weeks and pleadings should be completed till then.
