Lady Cop In Gujarat Carries 4-Day-Old Child To Safety As Cyclone Biparjoy Makes Landfall
In a video shared on Twitter by Gujarat Minister of Forest and Environment Mulu Ayar Bera, the police personnel can be seen carrying an infant in her arms as the mother and several other women walk along to safer areas.
In the wake of 'very severe' storm Biparjoy's landfall in Gujarat, a noble act by a woman police personnel has come to light, which only furthers the view that efforts of administrative force on the ground are unmatchable in such situations.
It all started when the cyclonic storm hit the Barda Dungar region, where a woman had birthed a child four days ago. She was aided by the woman officer today while she was being shifted to a safe place by the state police.

"Bhanwad's administration is vigilant to ensure security through the service," Bera, who represents the Bhanwad constituency in the state assembly, put as a caption with the video.
The official Twitter handle of the Director General of Police, Gujarat, retweeted the video, saying, "If you are with #GujaratPolice, you are in absolutely safe hands."
Impact of Cyclone Biparjoy on Gujarat
At least two died, and 22 were wounded as strong winds, heavy rain and high tides hit the Gujarat coast late on Thursday, uprooting the area's electric poles and trees. Owing to the impact, over 900 villages were left without electricity in the state.
According to private forecasting company Skymer, the cyclone has now pivoted into a very slow-moving, overly-long storm that has persisted past midnight. It has not wilted even after six hours, though storms usually weaken quickly.
Wind speed has fallen to 80-85 kmph, which is still very strong, and weakening will be a slow process, Skymet added.
The intensity of Cyclone Biparjoy has reduced from a 'very severe' category to 'severe' after the landfall, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
As per a Reuters report, India and Pakistan had vacated more than 1,80,000 people from the coastal areas to safety in expectation of the cyclone.
