Man Allegedly Brutally Beaten By In-Laws For Not Refilling LPG Cylinder
A man was allegedly brutally beaten up in Bengaluru because he did not refill an LPG cylinder. He was thrashed by his father-in-law, brother-in-law and four others for allegedly talking rudely and neglecting his duties in the house.

It happened on January 9 in Medahalli, KR Puram. His name is Gopalakrishna S. Gopalakrishna married Gayatri in 2019.
He was employed at a hotel in Indiranagar and after tying the knot he moved to his parents' home in JC Nagar with his wife. But Gayatri did not want to live with her in-laws and they moved out.
They leased a house in Medahalli, KR Puram. Gopalakrishna took a loan of Rs 4 lakh for it. On the day it happened, the house ran out of cooking gas and Gayatri asked him to get the cylinder refilled, as per a report in Bangalore Mirror.
Since he was not feeling well, Gopalakrishna asked Gayatri if he could refill it on January 11 offered to order food till then. She began abusing him and then called her father Ravi Kumar and brother Praveen.
The accused reportedly started abusing Gopalakrishna. Ravi Kumar and four others then called Gopalakrishna from the hotel and allegedly beat him up. They also apparently tried to Gopalakrishna with a dagger.
He was taken to hospital and from there to the NIMHANS because of his badly injured head. The accused have been booked under the relevant IPC sections.
"It was a case of attempt to murder, but we don't know why the police just took an assault case," said Gopalakrishna's mother.
