On 27 April, he messaged the JNU student that he would be arriving in Delhi that evening and wanted to meet her.
Despite her saying that she was not interested, he insisted and called her on the phone 40 times to say that he was waiting outside the campus to meet her.
She finally agreed to meet Hussain who was waiting for her at the gate with a rented car.
He asked her to get into the car and took her to a house in Batla House.

The assault left the victim in great pain after she suffered an anal fissure.
She also revealed that since then she got to know from some JNU friends that she was not his only victim; there are possibly several others.
