Mumbai Shows Its True Spirit Again, As Citizens Come Forward To Help People Stuck In Heavy Rain
From hosting stranded strangers to Ganesh pandals, Gurudwaras and Mosques distributing food, Mumbaikars are going out of the way to help fellow citizens
Social media may have been receiving criticism for its new ways, but it has also been a tremendous help in times of calamities and emergency to connect those in need to those who offer help.

The floods in Mumbai tell a similar story, where the city demonstrated its undying spirit by offering help to those who needed it the most through social media.
The rains made things miserable for those who got stuck on railway platforms, on roads with knee to waist deep waters. A new hashtag called #rainhost has been trending all day on twitter where Mumbaikars have been offering help to host anyone who is stranded anywhere in the city. Not just Mumbai Police, but citizens have also taken an initiative to help out fellow Mumbaikars.
