A Techie Just Learned That His Colleague Is An U-19 Cricketer Currently In US T20 World Cup Team
Chirag, a techie working with Oracle, narrated on Twitter his surprise upon learning that his colleague was an established cricketer. "Just found out in my company there is a guy who played Under 19 Cricket World Cup for India back in 2010 and now lives in US, works in Oracle, and is gonna be playing T20 WC next month for USA," he wrote on Twitter.
Earlier this month, the USA announced its team for the upcoming T20 World Cup, which the country will be co-hosting for the first time. Unsurprisingly, nearly half of the USA team members, including the captain Monank Patel, are of Indian origin. Though the team was announced two weeks ago, only now has an Indian techie realised that one of them is a colleague.

Who could it be?
Another Oracle techie soon responded, saying, "Just looked him up on Slack and couldn't believe it."
The tweet soon went viral, and many started speculating who it could be, with many initially suggesting that it was Unmukt Chand.

However, others soon identified the player as Saurabh Netravalkar. "Netravalkar is a famous guy for a few years now and you are finding him now? There was even an article on him that mentioned his day job at Oracle," one person wrote.
Who is Saurabh Netravalkar
In fact, Netravalkar's Twitter bio reads, "Principal Member of Technical Staff at Oracle, Professional Cricketer at USA Cricket."

Netravalkar played in the Indian team in the U-19 World Cup in 2010, alongside the likes of KL Rahul, Jaydev Unadkat, and Mayank Agarwal. He made his First-Class debut in 2013 for Mumbai.
However, due to the lack of opportunities, he moved to the USA for studies and pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at Cornell University. Netravalkar made his international debut for the USA in 2019 and has played 48 matches, from which he picked up 73 wickets.
