This Cab Driver Turns Good Samaritan, Donates Blood To Passenger's Kin
In a generous act of humanity, he helped a dengue patient in urgent need of blood.
The fast-paced life of big cities leaves little time to reflect on the kindness of humanity, let alone helping other human beings. So, when a generous gesture comes along boasting of pure goodness, you can¡¯t help but feel moved by it. This is one such story.

It was a late night in Kolkata and Vivek Saraf had a booked an Ola cab and driver happened to be Apu Shaw. The booking came from near R.G Kar Medical Hospital and the drop-off was at another hospital near Hatibagan.
During the car ride, Vivek told him that his 21-year-old was suffering from dengue and requested Apu to hold the cab after they reached the destination as he feared he wouldn¡¯t find another cab so late in the night.
That night Vivek was searching for a blood donor for his relative and needed urgent transfusion.

¡°I watched him running around trying to get a donor as his relative was in critical condition. It was heart wrenching that a young boy who has his whole life in front of him had to suffer like this. I immediately volunteered to be a donor,¡± said Apu.
He also said, ¡°All of us need to remember that we are humans first before anything else. If we don¡¯t come to the aid of those in need, everything else that we do becomes meaningless.¡±
Vivek was obviously taken aback at Apu¡¯s generosity and said ¡°words cannot express the feeling he had at that moment¡±.
It¡¯s the simple and human gestures like these that make life wonderful.
