The recent change in Mumbai's weather can be attributed to northerly winds that began influencing the coastal city on Sunday. The Regional Meteorological Centre in Colaba recorded a minimum temperature of 18.8 degrees Celsius, indicating a sharp decline from the relatively warmer Monday, where temperatures hovered around 22 degrees Celsius.
It's worth noting that Mumbai experienced a similar dip in temperatures on January 6, marking the coldest day of the season at 17.5 degrees Celsius. However, this was followed by an unexpected surge in temperatures. On January 12, Mumbai recorded its warmest day in January in the past seven years, with the mercury soaring to 35.7 degrees Celsius.
