Viral Video: In a startling incident captured on CCTV, a leopard was seen jumping over a 10-foot wall to hunt a hen in the Somayanur village of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The event occurred around 5 AM on Wednesday, May 29, as reported.
The footage, shared by ANI, shows a hen perched on the wall of a house. The leopard slowly approaches and spots the hen. With a swift move, the leopard pounces, but the hen jumps to the other side of the wall in an attempt to escape. The determined leopard then leaps over the wall, catches the hen, and walks away with it in its mouth.
This incident has spread fear among the locals. Panic ensued after the CCTV footage came to light. Residents speculate that the leopard was drawn to the hen by its clucking sounds, which are common in the early morning. The hungry leopard likely heard the noise and targeted the hen, eventually capturing and taking it away.

The victim sustained serious injuries but managed to save himself by raising an alarm, which brought villagers to the scene, causing the leopard to flee.
