Viral Video: India is grappling with scorching summer temperatures across various regions, with some areas recording temperatures exceeding 45 degrees Celsius. The intense and prolonged heat poses a risk of heat stress, particularly for those without access to air conditioning to seek relief indoors. The vast majority of the people have to work in blazing temperatures to make ends meet. That being said, there is a jugaad for everything in India. A truck driver was recently spotted going above and beyond to combat the heat.
The video, posted on the microblogging platform X (previously known as Twitter), opens with a truck driver operating his vehicle on a clearly hot day. His desi jugaad, however, is what makes it special. As the truck doesn¡¯t seem to have air conditioning, the driver chooses to combat the heat by constantly dousing himself in water from a bucket using a jug. Clearly, ¡°India is not for the beginners.¡±

According to forecasts from the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), there will likely be a heatwave for the next five days over East and South Peninsular India. On the other hand, isolated regions of Northeast India are predicted to see strong winds, thunderstorms, lightning and heavy rains today.
The maximum temperatures over Northwest and East India are predicted to climb gradually by 2-4¡ãC over the course of the next 24 hours, with no notable change in forecast. However, during the course of the next day or two, Central India may see an increase in maximum temperatures of 4-6¡ãC; beyond that, there should be no notable changes.
The IMD had already warned of high temperatures during the April-June period, which coincided with the seven-phase Lok Sabha elections with El Ni?o conditions still in place but fading, increasing worries about vulnerability to heatwaves.
