What is the Bambiha gang?
The Bambiha gang is a notorious criminal group rooted in India¡¯s Punjab and is named after Davinder Bambiha who was once a prominent and infamous figure in Punjab's criminal landscape. Originating from the Moga district, the gang initially focused on smaller crimes but quickly expanded its influence across North India, particularly in Punjab and Haryana.
Gang leader Davinder Bambiha gained a massive reputation for his involvement in high-profile crimes, including extortion and organized violence. His death in a police encounter in 2016 led to a leadership change with Gaurav alias Lucky Patial who is currently on the run, reportedly taking charge of the Bambiha gang.
While apart from their differences over territorial control, influence, and a series of retaliatory attacks, the Bambiha gang and the Bishnoi gang also became rivals after the former¡¯s daylight firing outside a Nagaur court two years ago, in which gangster, Sandeep Bishnoi was killed.
