RSS, the ideological parent of the ruling BJP, which has softened its stand on gay sex has said that it does not support same-sex marriage as it was ¡®not natural¡¯.
¡°Like the Supreme Court's verdict, we also do not consider this (homosexuality) as a crime¡[but] These relationships are not natural, so we do not support this kind of relationship,¡± Arun Kumar, RSS spokesperson said in a statement on Thursday.

He added that Indian society ¡°traditionally does not recognise¡± such relations. ¡°Humans usually learn from experiences, so this topic needs to be discussed and handled the social and psychological level¡±.

During the trial, the Supreme Court had made it clear that any other matters including same-sex marriages will not be considered along with the case.
This comes as a setback to rights activists and the petitioner who has been actively campaigning for years.
Many including the petitioners had said after the verdict that their next aim is to make same-sex marriages legal in India.
Currently, 27 countries across the world, most Europeans have decriminalized same-sex marriages.
