The event showcased their playful sides in a fun video released by the IPL, where the two leaders humorously teased each other. In the video, Shreyas Iyer joked about his early days riding an autorickshaw and, in a humorous twist, charged the SRH skipper INR 20 crore for a ride. Iyer also took the opportunity to ask Cummins about his IPL triumph in his debut season with KKR in 2014.

Pat Cummins, reflecting on his early IPL days, was part of KKR¡¯s squad during their second title win under Gautam Gambhir's leadership. Although Cummins only featured in one game during that season, where he picked up a wicket, he remained a key figure in the team. The towering seamer continued with KKR in the 2015 season and made a return to the franchise in 2020 after a stint with the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in 2017.
Both captains have not only shown exceptional leadership but have also delivered impressive individual performances throughout the IPL 2024 season. Shreyas Iyer, despite limited opportunities, has scored 345 runs at an average of 38.33 and a strike rate of 146.18 in 13 innings. He notably smashed a brilliant 24-ball 58 in KKR's dominant eight-wicket victory against SRH in Qualifier 2.
