If Stanford University were a country, it would have finished in the top 10 in the medal tally at the Paris Olympics 2024. With a total of 39 medals, Stanford University, located in Stanford, California, would have been placed in the 10th spot, after Italy and ahead of the likes of Germany, New Zealand, and Canada in the medal tally.

Stanford athletes at Paris
Athletes from Stanford won Olympic medals in artistic swimming, women¡¯s basketball, women¡¯s fencing, men¡¯s gymnastics, sailing, men¡¯s rowing, women¡¯s soccer, women¡¯s swimming and diving, men¡¯s track and field, men¡¯s volleyball, women¡¯s volleyball, men¡¯s water polo, and women¡¯s water polo.
Swimmers Torri Huske and Regan Smith, who won five medals apiece (Huske: 3 golds and 2 silvers; Smith: 2 golds and 3 silvers), were the most decorated athletes from Stanford at the Paris Olympics 2024.
Harvard bags its highest medal haul
Another top US university, Harvard, also had a good outing in the French capital this year.
Athletes from Harvard returned home from Paris with 13 Olympic medals, the highest ever for the university.
For Harvard, track and field athlete Gabby Thomas was the standout performer, winning an incredible three gold medals in Paris.
