10,000 Ukrainian Soldiers Killed In The 100 Days Of Russian Invasion, Says Zelenskyy¡¯s Advisor
For the first time since the start of the war, a top Ukrainian official has spoken about the death toll of its soldiers. Some 10,000 Ukrainian soldiers have died since the beginning of the Russian invasion, presidential advisor, Oleksiy Arestovych, said Saturday. Asked in a social media interview whether that suggested the Ukrainian army had lost up to 10,000 fighters in the first 100 days of the war, Arestovych said, "Yes, something like that."
The Russian invasion of Ukraine that started in February entered its 108th day on Saturday.
With no truce in sight, the war has dealt massive blows to both the sides involved.
And every passing day, more and more people including civilians and soldiers are getting killed.
Given the number of claims and counterclaims, the world may never know the real human cost of the war.
10,000 Ukrainian soldiers killed

Recently, Ukrainian defense minister, Oleksii Reznikov, had said as many as 100 Ukrainian soldiers were being killed every day in combat.
Russia still silent on troop losses
Russia, on the other hand, has been more tight-lipped about its losses in Ukraine.
Moscow last spoke about its military losses in Ukraine on March 25 and admitted that 1,351 of its men had died during the conflict.
Many, including the US and other Western Intelligence agencies, had then put the Russian death toll close to 10,000.
Ukraine has estimated that some 31,900 Russian soldiers have been killed till June 10.
42,000 letters about missing solders
Though Russia has not spoken publicly about its solders killed in the war since, an investigation by iStories said that Kremlin received nearly 42,000 complaints in April from the relatives of soldiers missing in Ukraine.
¡°The types of people who write to the president are usually loyal, but apolitical,¡± Abbas Gallyamov, political consultant and former Putin speechwriter, told iStories.
Ukraine said it held approximately 600 Russian prisoners of war as of early April. According to Kyiv, more than 400 soldiers have so far been exchanged with Moscow in 14 prisoner exchanges.
Ukraine has claimed to have killed about a dozen generals in the war, but only a few of the deaths have been confirmed.
First report of Arabs fighting for Russia killed
Arestovych said a separate attack this week on a Russian base in Chkalove killed at least 200 troops, including Arabs, presumably from Syria. He said it was the first confirmed case of Arabs fighting with Russians in Ukraine.
Russian President Vladimir Putin launched what he terms his "special military operation" in Ukraine in February, saying his aim was to disarm and "denazify" the country.
