After Huge Public Outcry, Saudi Police Arrest The Woman Who Wore Crop Top And Mini Skirt
Saudi Arabia is one of the most conservative places for women.
When it comes to women and their choices in public sphere, Saudi Arabia clearly does not stand as a great example. In fact, there is a huge debate over the rights the Kingdom gives to its female citizens. Moreover, there is clearly very strict modesty rules in the country that are criticised by people around the world. This time a young woman found herself at the centre of attention after she posted a video of herself on Snapchat wearing a crop top and mini skirt.
After huge public outcry, Riyadh Police has now arrested the woman for wearing ¡°suggestive clothing¡±, Saudi state television station Al Ekhbariya reported. However, no information has been released on how the authorities plan to punish her for disobeying the country¡¯s rules on women¡¯s clothing. Women in Saudi Arabia are not to be seen in public without an abaya.

The short video filmed in Ushayqir in Najd province, went viral soon after and needless to say everyone had an opinion. Some supported her, saying that she should be allowed to wear anything she wants, while others said that she should follow country¡¯s rules, no matter how stringent they are. Here are a few tweets:
