Job Scam Busted: Bihar Gang Offered Money To Men For 'Impregnating' Women
The gang lured men into scandalous schemes on social media, according to a Times of India report. The accused would then offer the men an opportunity to earn lakhs in return for their "service."
In Bihar's Nawada, police have arrested eight people for allegedly running a racket under the guise of the "All India Pregnant Job Service." The accused were reportedly offering ?13 lakh to men to impregnate women facing difficulties conceiving with their partners.
Modus operandi
The gang lured men into scandalous schemes on social media, according to a Times of India report. The accused would then offer the men an opportunity to earn lakhs in return for their "service."
The interested men were asked to pay a registration fee of ? 799. Once they would register, the gang gave them some photographs, asking them to pick a woman of their choice whom they wished to impregnate.
They were then asked to deposit a security amount ranging between ? 5,000 to 20,000 depending on how "attractive the woman was."
On the successful completion of their task of making women pregnant who were unable to conceive a child, these men were told to receive a handsome amount of ?13 lakh, according to the TOI Report.
They were promised a consolation price of ? 5 lakh even if they failed to impregnate the woman," said Kalyan Anand, Superintendent of Police, Nawada.
SIT raids & arrests
The arrest of fraudsters running the scam was made after the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Bihar Police raided different locations linked with the scheme's mastermind, Munna Kumar. During the raids, the prime accused in the case managed to escape from the spot.
The arrested men are part of a larger cybercrime syndicate running across the nation, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kalyan Anand. During the raids, authorities seized nine smartphones and a printer from the locations. The police hinted towards more arrests in the case.
