Notorious Chechen Warlord Ramzan Kadyrov Says Thousands Of His Men Are Heading To Ukraine

At a time when the Russian military is facing setbacks and massive losses in its ongoing war in Ukraine, Chechen warlord Ramzan Kadyrov, a major of Vladimir Putin has said that his men are heading to take part in the conflict.

According to Kadyrov, one of his relatives, Apty Alaudinov, "is leading a thousand volunteers from the Chechen republic heading to take part in the special operation of denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine".

Kadyrov, often described as 'Putin's attack dog' for his loyalty to the Russian leader issued a warning to Ukraine on Telegram saying "You don¡¯t have long left. It¡¯s better you surrender and stand alongside us¡­ or your end will be at hand."

Just days ago he had posted on Telegram that he was already inside Ukraine and was at a location close to Kyiv.

He had also posted a video of himself claiming to be from Hostomel, just 20 km away from Kyiv.

Recently he had also jumped into the online battle of words between Elon Musk and Russian leaders after the world's richest man challenged Putin to a fight.

Who is he?

45-year-old Kadyrov is the leader of the Chechen Republic, a predominantly Muslim region of Russia which has some amount of autonomy.

He began as a Chechen separatist who fought for the independence of Chechnya from Russia.

After the second Chechen, Kadyrov's father who was the then head of Chechnya switched sides to Putin.

Kadyrov who became Chechnya President in 2007 at the age of 30 has been ruling the region with an iron fist.

His regime is notorious for its track record of human rights violations and targeting homosexuals.

Kadyrov's men were already deployed by Russia in the ongoing war in Ukraine from the start.

Chechen General Magomed Tushaev the commander of the 141th motorised national guard brigade -- Chechen head of state Ramzan Kadyrov's elite force was one of the first high-profile losses on the Russian side in the war.

The bloodthirsty Chechen special forces famed for their barbaric violence and human rights abuses were reportedly sent to Ukraine with a hit list.

Their target no 1 was said to be Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Though the circumstances that led to Tushaev is unclear, the Ukrainian government has claimed that the information about the Chechen plot was leaked to them by agents from Russia¡¯s Federal Security Service (FSB) security service who are opposed to the war.

The Chechen convoy of 56 tanks was blown to smithereens near Hostomel, by Ukrainian missile fire.
