A mother's instincts work best - be it humans or animals. A mother will always find her babies no matter how far they are from her.

Holding true to this was a Greyhound dog in Spain, who in spite of a broken leg, led her vets on a journey that ended in a reunion with her puppies. The pooch was spotted wandering the streets in her poor condition and was taken to the vet's clinic by Psychologist Lianne Powell.

The vets noticed that she was lactating and soon put a collar on her after which they set out to find her babies.
"We put a collar and long lead on her...Then we just followed her...She knew where she was going," Ellen Sobry, a vet at the clinic, told The Daily Mail.
Even with her broken leg, the Greyhound mom took the vet on a search trail that ended some 3 kilometers away from the clinic, where ten healthy puppies were waiting for their mother.

"It was incredible ¨C I couldn¡¯t believe what I saw...That dog didn¡¯t know us, we'd only met her like an hour before so it was really incredible how she decided to trust and show us where they were," added Sobry.

They named the mother dog Vera, who's recovering with her puppies at the clinic. And once they are ready for adoption, they will be on their way to a loving home.
